The Eagles finished 12th at nationals out of 16 teams invited from the 160 ACHA Division 2 teams. Way to go Eagles! Making it to nationals for a second year in a row shows that the Eastern club hockey team is on the move.
The winner this year was the Davenport Panthers, whom Eastern lost to last year to finish 3rd at nationals. Eastern defeated the Panthers earlier this year when the Eagles traveled to Michigan to start the season. Good luck next year Eastern!

The Eagles have enjoyed two successful weekends. The last weekend in January, EWU traveled to Utah. Friday night they were in Provo to play Brigham Young University. The Eagles won 9-3. On Saturday they traveled to Logan to play the # 8 ranked team, Utah State University. USU put up a good fight, but lost the game, 5-1. On Saturday night, the Eagles out shot San Jose 61 to 8 for a final score of 7-1. San Jose is currently ranked #9 in the west.
